Teeth whitening

What is the difference between in-office whitening and a home kit?

Whitening carried out at the practice uses professional products whose active-agent concentration is higher than that of kits sold in supermarkets or pharmacies. More importantly, it is preceded by an examination: the dentist checks the condition of your teeth and gums, spots any decay, cracks or old restorations, and makes sure whitening suits your case. This step avoids whitening on a surface that is not suitable for it.

Over-the-counter kits deliberately contain low concentrations for use without supervision. Their trays are often one-size-fits-all and therefore fit the shape of your teeth poorly, letting the gel spill onto the gums and giving an uneven result. Strips and pens rarely cover the whole tooth surface evenly.

At Dr. Imad Al Morabit's practice in Nador, the goal is controlled lightening: protection of the gums, a suitable dose and follow-up of the result. For patients in Europe, an initial opinion can be given via photos on WhatsApp (+212 677 677 707), and the whitening is then arranged during your stay in Nador. The consultation and quote are free.
