Root canal

Do you need a crown after a root canal?

After a root canal the tooth is hollow inside and therefore more brittle than a healthy tooth. Molars in particular, which take heavy chewing pressure, risk fracturing if closed with only a filling. That is why the dentist usually advises a crown in those cases, which wraps around and protects the tooth like a helmet.

For a front tooth, or a tooth with plenty of healthy structure left, a good solid filling can sometimes be enough. The dentist assesses each tooth for the safest choice and discusses it calmly with you, without pushing anything.

Placing a crown clearly extends the lifespan of a treated tooth. Thanks to the integrated digital laboratory in Nador, a well fitted crown can be made precisely and promptly, so your tooth looks natural again and feels solid.

Whether a crown is needed in your case will be clear after the examination and X-ray. You first receive a clear plan, and a free estimate after the assessment. Questions? Call 0536 33 22 30 or WhatsApp +212 677 677 707.
