How many sessions does a root canal take?
How many sessions are needed depends on which tooth is involved and how severe the situation is. A front tooth usually has a single canal and is quicker, while a molar has several canals and needs a little more time. Most often the treatment is done in one or two sessions of about one to one and a half hours.
If there is an active infection or an abscess, the dentist sometimes deliberately chooses two sessions. Between appointments the tooth then has time to settle, possibly with a disinfecting medicine placed inside the canal. This makes the final result more reliable.
During treatment the tooth is isolated with a small rubber sheet so everything stays clean and dry. This raises the quality of the work and makes the session more comfortable. Thanks to the integrated digital laboratory in Nador, a protective restoration can then be prepared promptly.
For patients travelling from abroad, we group the appointments as much as possible so your stay in Nador stays efficient. To discuss your schedule, call 0536 33 22 30 or message on WhatsApp +212 677 677 707.
